Everyone who meets Boz falls in love with him. His personality and stature are more than impressive. He tips the scales at 105 pounds. He is a short-bodied, cobb style, butt high, black and tan, old-fashioned style German Shepherd Dog that we do not see today. He has an incredibly masculine head... blocky and wide with a good stop and nice ear-set. Boz is a very easy keeper and the picture of health. He is strong and sensible. Being an excellent herding animal, he raced through his AKC Herding Tested and Pre-Trial Tested titles on sheep. He has earned his AKC Companion Dog title. He carries the black factor and has produced no long coats to date. Boz is an absolute pleasure to have on our ranch. We are very pleased with him.
We bred two of our Hinterland dogs, Lilly P and Boz in 1997. From Lilly P's litter, born in March, we kept Ebony and re-acquired Gunther.
Boz is still spectacular and healthy at 11 years of age.
